Close game in second quarterfinal

Tuesday night Sollentuna Damlaget played second quarterfinal match away in Örebro. After losing the first game (0:3) in Sollentuna the girls were facing a hard task of two consecutive away games.

Örebro started the match powerful, led by international left sides they managed to close in first two sets in their advantage quickly. Some crucial mistakes were made by the referee and not in favor of SVK. It seemed like the girls were facing three opponents – the Örebro team, the referee and a furious home crowd – trough out the match.

After the 10 minute break between second and third set SVK managed to get into “Green Machine” mode. Despite everything that happened so far the girls were on fire on the court. With everybody contributing and giving their best they took the third set 23:25.

The machine had no intention to stop and kept on leading trough out the fourth set. After huge drama and bunch of long rallies SVK prevailed in the 4th by 28:30. Great attacking and serving by Sofia Täcktor, outstanding defence by Caroline Ljung and Sophie Ågren were really important to complete the team effort.
