Utländska spelare i Sollentuna: Ashlee från Wisconsin

Vi fortsätter presentera våra utländska spelare i elitlagen. Idag får ni veta mer om Ashlee i damlaget. En glad, tävlingsinriktad spiker som är lite blyg!

– Ashlee är en hårtslående spiker som på kort tid har kommit bra in i laget och som är positiv och glad. Ett riktigt tillskott, säger sportchef Claes-Göran Eriksson.

Where are you from? West Bend, Wisconsin, United States

Why are you playing volleyball abroad? It’s a great opportunity to experience living in another country and to continue playing competitive volleyball!  

How come you are playing in Sweden? Sollentuna was the first team that offered me a job so I took it!

Which season abroad is this for you? My first!

What is fun/less fun with being a ”pro”? Being able to do something that I love and get paid for it is truly a blessing! Practice is hard work, but playing in games is a blast. I’ve been able to meet new people and build friendships that wouldn’t be possible without professional volleyball. The only downside is being so far from home and missing my family and friends.

What do you think of the Swedish elite series? It’s great competition!  

If you compare the game in your team to at home, what can you tell us? The game is pretty much the same only the game procedures are different!

You are now beginning the playoffs, what are your expectations? I’m expecting the intensity of the play to pick up in the playoffs and I’m looking forward to it because I love the competition!
