Matchrapport från Sollentunas matcher i helgen

Helgens försäsongsturnering för Sollentunas damer är över och damlagets coach Dave Egan ger följande ord om Sollentunas matcher.

Friday

Sollentuna-Lindesberg 0-3 (21-25, 21-25, 17-25)

The opening match of the weekend tournament featured the Sollentuna ladies in their first home match since last year’s semi finals against the new and improved Lindesberg VC. Lindesberg’s team features 9 new players this season and has played a lot in the fall in order to get everyone to gel. The two teams met two weeks earlier in lindesberg, and although the final result was the same, this match was much closer and played at a higher level than the last.

Both Emily Turner and Anna Harlin did well running the offense and kept the Lindesberg block off balance throughout the match. Our block and defense was much improved as well, with libero Cissi Skoog leading a strong defensive effort.

Lindesberg was lead by the duo of Matilda Wikander and Anna Rönnbäck, who’s setter-middle connection may be the best in the league this season.

Saturday

Katrineholm-Bröndby 3-1 (25-13, 25-13, 21-25, 25-20)

Katrineholm-Lindesberg 0-3 (18-25, 19-25, 24-26)

Sollentuna-Katrineholm 2-3 (13-25, 14-25, 25-21, 26-24, 13-15)

The match started out terribly for the home team as numerous unforced errors allowed KVK to take the first two sets almost without having to break a sweat. Sollentuna’s reception was good throughout the match though and in the third set the home team finally got their sideout game working. Sara Mild had another great match, leading the team in kills and providing stable leadership for the team when things weren’t going well early. Sofia Harlin had a great match off the bench and had some key plays for us at the end of the fourth set.
